Suicide Nation

"There is but one truly serious philosophical problem and that is suicide."
Albert Camus

It is depressing to know lots of kids commited suicide in Japan. I was in Australia from July to November this time. I am back to Osaka, the second largest city in Japan. You might be surprised to know more than 30000 people commit suicide every year in Japan, which means 89 people kill themselves per a day. There must be lots of reasons, mainly some of them lost of their work or due to too much work. I will describe how the people in their office were droven into the mad situation later. It is a crazy story. I have some documents about it.

Now, it is focused on the phenominon that Kids commit suicide. Why do they contemplate suicide? The news papers and TV report say they are suffering from bullying. It is said that the chain reaction will occur after mass media report the incident like serial killing, what is called copy cat criminal. Suicide is also the crime that hurts people around them, especially family. But suicide is also the punishment to their future. How can this be happened? I need to think radicall y and fundamentally. I will write more details.

Hello, Good bye, Hello again 2

It was freezing on the road. The engine sounded bad and smelled bad. We realized we could not shift into any gears. If you hold strong on to low, anyhow we could drive slowly. But 10 minutes after the engine started to smell. So we had to rest the engine over and over and over again. We park our car beside the road lots of huge dump cars and trailers were passing. Anyhow we came to end of the upslope, and Shinka disengaged the gear. I thought he went crazy due to the shock and coldness. No he did not.

It was the only way to gather speed when the engine is not working. We were rolling down the hill to the end of the world, no, to the gas station. It was 3am that I asked sales people if they had mechanics or not. No they did not have. We restarted to roll down the hill to the next station. I asked the same thing. No, they did not have. I know nobody wants to fix the car at 4 in the morning. But it is 100% sure we would clash if we kept rolling down in the dark. I ringed up some mechanics. Fortunately one mechanic was awake. He said he would come to the gas station in 20 minuites. We were waiting in the car and fell a sleep. He showed up 2 hours later. He was nice and quick. It took 5 minuites to chech out the car. And he said "Clutch is gone". Shinka and I decided to poke the fucking car into Kazu's house when we get back to Sydney.

Hello, Good bye, Hello again

I have some friends, not so many, but all over the world. I am too lazy to keep in touch with them. This blog can be a good tool to communicate with everybody I concern. I wish all my friends are away from misery. But, as Sommuel Beckett said, “The tears of the world are a constant quality. For each one who begins to weep, somewhere else another stops. The same is true of the laugh.” I believe this or accept this rule. This words reminds me of a tiny happiness like meeting again with old friends, on the other hand, some of my friends are missing under the violent regimes. Anyways, let me write something about my life in Australia.

I was working in Griffith, 500km west of Sydney. I started seasonal work there. I had not worked on any fruit picking jobs. I knew nothing about it. Han youp, my Korean friend in Sydney, introdused me Japanese girl who worked before in Griffith. Chikako was a funny girl, wearing stirings underpants according to Han youp. Yes, she did. I comfirmed it when we met in the flat Han youp and She shared with other people from South America. She was lying on the sofa. Fortunaly or unfortunately her pants were showing. It was a nice first impression, which made me feel I could trust her. I talked to her in English at first. I do not know why. Maybe I was a bit sweet panic. Anyways we talked for a while. She gave me some useful information about seasonal works. And I decided to go to Griffith because it is near Sydney. It is not near in a Japanese way. 500km is the same distance of Between Tokyo and Osaka. Almost nobody in Japan says Tokyo is near Osaka. But in Australiam it is near.

The day after Shinka, my friend from Japan, and I went to buy a car. We searched for some seller through some websites. We found a Japanese guy who offered a Daihatu for $500. I ringed him up on the same day and met up on the same day and made contract on the same day. This was a fiasico. I was in such a hurry because I was runinng out of money to stay in expensive city like Sydney. Good bye Sydney!

Lesson No.1 , Never hurry.

2 days after we made contract with the Japanese guy, Kazu, we left Sydney with our brand new car. This was not brand new but I felt like brand new and Shnka must have felt same way. We were too high. Shinka was driving fast and I was dancing and singing next to him. We were too high to stop on red signal. No, this was not true. We were too high to notice there was a corner with signal. It was too late. He put on the break after we passed the stop line. We saw lighting, lighting on the corner of small town on midnight. We were in a flood of photoflash. I was worring about one thing, if police saw this photo, he could not stop laughing at my face. I could not take it. But I was also sure Shinka was not worring about his face but that he had to pay fine for infrigement. He was depressed and his foot was paralyzed by the shock. He asked me to switch driving. I could not ask him he got out piss or not. I was talking to myself "Never hurry" on the driving seat. 2 hours later, our car went broke, almotst dead on the way to Griffith, on a mountain of winter. There was a electnic bulettin board on the road, in front of us, which indicated 3 degrees C. The wind was blowing harsh and blew out our hope. We were pushing the fucking car with hazard lamp on...

No war!

I know that the best constitution in this world is the constitution of Japan, which has

Article 9.
1. Aspiring sincerely to an international peace based on justice and order, the Japanese people forever renounce war as a sovereign right of the nation and the threat or use of force as means of settling international disputes.

2. In order to accomplish the aim of the preceding paragraph, land, sea, and air forces, as well as other war potential, will never be maintained. The right of belligerency of the state will not be recognized.

Motion pictures deserve Music?

I am not satisfied with the movie industry in Japan. It is always too late. I could not watch the Brokeback Mountain before the Oscar. It started the day before yesterday in Japan. But I am satisfied with another side of movie industry in Japan, which I can watch movies from all over the world through the translation. I would miss the French movie like Jean Luc Godard when I was in Sydney. I always used to walk around the city to find a foreign language cinema, but I could not reach it. English is just one of the many languages, not the only one.

I watched lots of cinemas these days. L'Enfant gave me a deep impression. The story is simple. But this movie have a tension in the motion picture. The last shot of this cinema is unspeakable in a good scense. I like the last one of the directors too. This directors, who are real brothers, do not use the music. you will have diffierent ears once you get used to it. You will be persistent with reason why the music being in the image. An absence of the music needs an alibi, and vice versa.

And this is the miracle of the cinema, "Notre Musique", means "Our Music". You must lisen to the cinema. You are wide awake with closing your eyes.

A Blue Lake in Afghanistan

Someday I want to go to this lake again. Acutually this lake is surrounded by land mines. If you clean up the land mines, lots of people would go to this lake, and this lake will lose the beauty. Needless to say, I am one of the dirty animals.
